I have version 3.0.5 installed (LAMP on CentOS 4.x). I think this had been working, but now when I click on the 'Get' the Master Region 1 Database, and after clicking OK, the browser just goes to a blank screen. I have tried this using IE and Firefox, same result for both. Any ideas?

Is your server logging anything? Is the mydvds tmp directory set to have read/write/execute permissions by the same user that the web server is running under?

Any help with these error messages would be appreciated.

This is a LAMP install, Cent0S v4.2, Apache 2.0.52, Mysql 4.1, and PHP 4.3.9

Try this:
o Open a web browser, log in to myDVDs, and navigate to the update page.
o In a terminal window, edit lib/variables.php and change the line "$DEBUG = 0" to "$DEBUG = 1" and save the file.
o Back in the web browser, hit the button to get the Region 1 db.

It will spew a LOT of information to the screen, but it might help in narrowing down the source of the problem.

Don't forget to put the value for $DEBUG back to 0 when you are done.

I think I followed the instructions (I went thru them a couple of times), but I'm getting nothing. The browser window just goes to a white screen and says DONE on the status line. I'm not seeing any output from the "$DEBUG = 1" setting.

What next?

I've found the cause of my problem!

After much searching and hunting and scanning thru configurations and log files I found this in /etc/php.ini:
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Paths and Directories ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

; UNIX: "/path1:/path2"
;include_path = ".:/php/includes:/user/share/pear"
;

I don't know how or when, but somehow my include_path was commented. Very Happy

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Real Life got in the way...

I see, though, that you were able to solve the problem on your own.. that's great!
